SICILY. Syracuse. Gelon, son of Hieron II, 275-215 BC. 4 Litrai or Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.32 g, 11 h), circa 218-215 BC. Diademed head of Gelon to left. Rev. ΣΥΡAKΩΣIOI - ΓEΛONOΣ Eagle standing right with closed wings; to left, K; to right, BA. CCO 288. HGC 2, 1563. Beautifully toned. The reverse with some scrapes and scratches, otherwise, very fine.
